America's largest fashion event, the 14th annual Miami Beach International Fashion Week is welcoming many influential people this year, besides designers. Slated to take place from 21-24 March this year at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the fashion event will be honoured by the presence of music legend Dionne Warwick, Grammy Award winning music producer Damon Elliott, Supermodel and the face of Lancome Russia, Dasha.

Warwick will share her expertise in and around the world of celebrity and fashion in a media seminar for students and designers. She will be discussing her life, style and advise on how to gain success in one's chosen passion. Dasha, on the other hand, will perform her new hit – 'The Prfct Girl' in one of the numerous performances and star shows to be held.

Some of Hollywood's and Latin America's Red Carpet gowns designed by Nicolas Felizola will do the rounds at the fashion event. Additionally, Walla Al Alawi of the Kingdom of Bahrain will bring her latest collection to the runway of the fashion event. Considered the trendsetter for the Gulf region, she will be bringing her collection for the first time to the US. Guests of the fashion event will most probably be given a memento from her collection.

Grazia, which is a a well-known weekly magazine of Bauer Media is joining hands with Gravity Road and YouTube for making an interactive documentary series on London fashion week. This is produced by the company Gravity Road and directed by Marcus Liversedge.
The documentary will be known as 'Grazia Fashion Issue…Live!' and it will capture every moment of glamour and hard work that is put into the making of Grazia London Fashion Week issue. The fans can also get themselves involved in major editorial decisions like choosing the apt cover shot. The Cameras will capture the reality behind the scenes for almost a week and will give viewers a look into Grazia HQ of London Fashion Week.

In recent Lakme Fashion Week Winter /Festive 2011, 87 Indian designers participated but the younger designers were not very happy with the way the business preceded.
The designers took part in Lakme Fashion Week for branding more than anything else. But they did not get a great response in comparison to last year's Lakme Fashion Week mentioned by a Kolkata based designer.
Even the Delhi based designer had the same opinion that business was just okay this time and not very great. The existing buyers did come to Lakme Fashion Week and place some orders but local buyers could not been seen though the festive season was around the corner. Delhi designer claims that he did only half the business in Lakme Fashion Week compared to last year.
